The Sculpture of Brahma Now on Display at the New Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport The gigantic sculpture of Brahma that will welcome travelers at the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport now stands at its permanent location in the airport whose soft opening is due to take place in October and its official inauguration in December 2023.  The intricately designed statue, which is made of copper and weighs six tons, features the Hindu deity Brahma on each of its four faces. Weighing six tons and standing seven meters high, the work presented a series of challenges to create. The project was overseen by the Ministry of Land Management with the technical support of Ith Sophea, a sculptor and coppersmith based in Siem Reap city.
